Fuel-Water Separator: Drain

WARNING:
To avoid the risk of personal injury or fire, drain diesel fuel into an approved container and safely dispose of in accordance with local environmental regulations.
- A fuel-water separator or fuel filter must be installed in the fuel supply system.
- Drain the water and sediment from the separator daily.
- Shut the engine OFF.
- Open the drain valve. Turn the valve counterclockwise turn.
- Drain the filter sump until clear fuel is visible.
- If draining the fuel filter housing, drain until fuel reduces to a trickle.
- To close the valve, turn valve clockwise turn.
