Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
- Harness connector F19
- Harness connector E28
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- A/T assembly
- Harness connector F19 and E28
- Check the continuity between the A/T assembly harness connector and the harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair the main line between the A/T assembly and the harness connector F19.
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the connector of IPDM E/R.
- Check the continuity between the harness connector and the IPDM E/R harness connector.

YES
Check CAN system type decision again.
YES
Error was detected in the main line between the A/T assembly and the IPDM E/R.
NO
Repair the main line between the harness connector E28 and the IPDM E/R.
