Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
- Harness connector F19
- Harness connector E28
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- A/T assembly
- Harness connector F19 and E28
- Check the continuity between the A/T assembly harness connector and the harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair the main line between the A/T assembly and the harness connector F19.
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the connector of transfer control unit.
- Check the continuity between the harness connector and the transfer control unit harness connector.

YES
Check CAN system type decision again.
YES
Error was detected in the main line between the A/T assembly and the transfer control unit.
NO
Repair the main line between the harness connector E28 and the transfer control unit.
