Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- ECM
- Steering angle sensor
- Combination meter

Check the continuity between the steering angle sensor harness connector and the combination meter harness connector.

With type A

NOTE: Check the combination meter type to confirm the service information. Refer to Information .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Check CAN system type decision again.

YES

Error was detected in the main line between the air bag diagnosis sensor unit and the combination meter.

Repair the main line between the air bag diagnosis sensor unit and the combination meter.
