Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
3. Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
  - Harness connector E35
  - Harness connector B41
  - Harness connector B69
  - Harness connector M40
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO STEP 2 .

NO

Repair the terminal and connector.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- ABS Actuator And Electric Unit (Control Unit)
- Harness connector E35 and B41

Check the continuity between the ABS Actuator And Electric Unit (Control Unit) harness connector and the harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO STEP 3 .

Repair the main line between the ABS Actuator And Electric Unit (Control Unit) and the harness connector E35.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

Disconnect the harness connector B69 and M40.

Check the continuity between the harness connectors.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO STEP 4 .

Repair the main line between the harness connector B41 and B69.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

Disconnect the connector of 3CH CAN gateway.

Check the continuity between the harness connector and the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Check CAN system type decision again.

YES

Error was detected in the main line between the ABS Actuator And Electric Unit (Control Unit) and the 3CH CAN gateway.

Repair the main line between the harness connector M40 and the 3CH CAN gateway.
