Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- ECM
- 3CH CAN gateway
- Steering angle sensor

Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector and the steering angle sensor harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Check CAN system type decision again.

YES

Error was detected in the main line between the 3CH CAN gateway and the steering angle sensor.

Repair the main line between the 3CH CAN gateway and the steering angle sensor.
