Diagnosis Procedure
- CONNECTOR INSPECTION
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the 3CH CAN gateway terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the connector of 3CH CAN gateway.
- Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Check the harness and repair or replace the root cause.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (SHORT CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect all the unit connectors on IT CAN communication system.
- Check the continuity between the 3CH CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

NO
Check the harness and repair or replace the root cause.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (SHORT CIRCUIT)

- CHECK 3CH CAN GATEWAY TERMINATION CIRCUIT
- Remove the 3CH CAN gateway.
- Check the resistance between the 3CH CAN gateway terminals.

YES
Start the diagnosis again. Follow the trouble diagnosis procedure when past error is detected.

Error was detected in the IT CAN communication circuit.
NO
Replace the 3CH CAN gateway.
