Component Inspection

CHECK DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SOLENOID OPERATION
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect differential lock solenoid harness connector.
3. Apply 12 V to differential lock solenoid connector No. 1 (-) and No. 2 (+) terminals.
  CAUTION:
  - Never make the terminals short.
  - Connect the fuse between differential lock solenoid connector terminals.
Does differential lock solenoid operate?

YES

GO TO STEP 2 .

NO

Differential lock solenoid is malfunctioning. Replace differential assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly .

CHECK DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SOLENOID RESISTANCE

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Check the resistance between differential lock solenoid harness connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Inspection End.

Differential lock solenoid is malfunctioning. Replace differential assembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly .
