Removal and Installation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Nissan Titan XD and 2018 Nissan Titan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: Clean dust on caliper and brake pad with a vacuum dust collector to minimize the hazards of air borne particles or other material.
CAUTION:
  • Do not spill or splash brake fluid on painted surfaces. Brake fluid may seriously damage paint. Wipe it off immediately and wash with water if it gets on a painted surface.
  • Do not press brake pedal when lines or hoses are disconnected.
  • If the brake fluid or grease contacts the brake caliper assembly and disc rotor, quickly wipe it off.
NOTE: When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
