Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 

    If DTC P1612 is displayed with DTC U1000 (for BCM) or U1010 (for BCM), first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC U1000 (for BCM) or U1010(for BCM).

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES

    Perform diagnosis of applicable. U1000 (for BCM): Refer to DTC Description . U1010 (for BCM): Refer to DTC Description .

    NO

    GO TO 2 .

  2. REPLACE BCM 

    Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    Does the engine start?

    YES

    Inspection End.

    NO

    GO TO 3 .

  3. REPLACE ECM 

    Replace ECM. Refer to Removal and Installation (VK56VD) or Removal and Installation (Cummins 5.0L).

    Inspection End.
