Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION: Perform ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING ECM. Refer to Description .
  1. Disconnect the battery or batteries negative terminal(s). Refer to Battery Disconnect .
  2. Remove the cowl top extension. Refer to Removal and Installation - Cowl Top Extension .
  3. Remove the front wheel and tire (RH) using power tool. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove the front fender protector (RH). Refer to Removal and Installation - Front Fender Protector .
  5. Position the relay box and IDPM/ER aside.
  6. Disconnect harness connector from the ECM.
  7. Remove nuts (A) and ECM (2) from ECM bracket (1).

  8. Remove bolts and ECM bracket (1) from vehicle (if necessary).
