The rocker arms (1) are located under the camshafts (2) and are directly responsible for transferring the camshaft lobe position to the valves. The rocker arm lash is not adjustable and is controlled by oil pressure.

This procedure is written to remove, inspect, and install the rocker arms one cylinder at a time. The procedure is then repeated for other cylinders.
If all rocker arms must be removed for inspection, remove the camshafts first. Refer to Removal and Installation .
