Removal and Installation: Installation

- Apply a coat of clean engine oil to the hydraulic lash adjuster (1).
- Install the hydraulic lash adjuster into the original locations in the cylinder head (2).NOTE:
- The hydraulic lash adjuster must be installed with the round end facing upward.
- Be sure the hydraulic lash adjuster is fully inserted into the bores.
- Installation of the remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- Perform CONSULT High-Pressure Leak Test. Refer to High-Pressure Fuel System Leak Test .
- Operate the engine and check for leaks.
