Rocker Cover Heat Shield

Removal

Remove the nuts and remove the rocker cover heat shield.

INSPECTION AFTER REMOVAL

WARNING: When using compressed air for cleaning, to avoid the risk of personal injury from flying debris and dirt:

Do not exceed 207 kPa (2.111 kg/cm ² , 30 psi).
Wear appropriate eye protection and protective clothing including gloves.

Inspect the heat shield for cracks or other damage.
Replace the heat shield if any damage is found.
Wash the heat shield in a hot, soapy water solution or steam clean if desired.
Dry with compressed air.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: For the rocker cover heat shield bolts, apply anti-seize to bolts before installation.
