Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram .

CHECK MICROPHONE SIGNAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect AV control unit connector M98 and microphone connector R5.

Check continuity between AV control unit connector M98 and microphone connector R5.

Check continuity between AV control unit connector M98 and ground.

Is inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2 .

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK MICROPHONE VCC VOLTAGE

Connect AV control unit connector M98.
Turn ignition switch ON.

Check voltage between terminals of AV control unit connector M98.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3

Replace AV control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

CHECK MICROPHONE SIGNAL

Connect microphone connector.

Check signal between terminals of AV control unit connector M98.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace AV control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Replace microphone. Refer to Removal and Installation .
