INTAKE MANIFOLD : Removal & Installation: Removal

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT : Removal & Installation .
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct 3. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the EGR volume control valve. Refer to EGR VALVE : Removal & Installation .
- Remove the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.
- Unbolt and reposition the vacuum tube. Refer to Exploded View .
- Remove the CVT fluid charging pipe. Refer to Exploded View (AWD) or Exploded View (FWD).
- Disconnect the PCV hose from the rocker cover.
- Disconnect the harness connector from the electric throttle control actuator.
- Loosen electric throttle control actuator bolts in reverse of the sequence and reposition.

CAUTION: Do not reuse electric throttle control actuator gasket. - Remove the EVAP hose from the intake manifold..
- Remove the generator. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Unbolt the radiator hose (upper) and reposition. Refer to Exploded View .
- Disconnect harness connectors from the intake manifold runner control valve motor, intake manifold runner control valve position sensor, intake manifold tuning valve motor and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
- Release harness retainers (A) from intake manifold.
- Loosen nuts and bolts in reverse of the sequence shown and remove the intake manifold.
CAUTION:
- Do not reuse intake manifold gasket.
- Cover engine openings to prevent entry of foreign materials.
- Remove intake port insulator.CAUTION: Do not reuse intake port insulator gasket.
- Remove the intake manifold stud (if necessary).
