PR25DD engine: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Apply new engine oil to seal lip.
  2. Install front oil seal so that each seal lip is oriented as shown.

    • Press-fit front oil seal until it is flush with front end surface of front cover using a suitable drift (A).

      CAUTION:
      • Do not damage front cover and crankshaft.
      • Press-fit oil seal straight to avoid causing burrs or tilting.
      • Do not touch the grease applied to the oil seal lip.
      • Do not reuse oil seal.
  3. Insert crankshaft pulley by aligning with crankshaft key.
    • Tap its center with a plastic hammer to insert.
    • Do not tap the crankshaft pulley outer diameter.
  4. Tighten crankshaft pulley bolt using the following procedure:
    1. Apply new engine oil to threads and seat surfaces of bolts.
    2. Tighten crankshaft bolt to specified torque.

      Crankshaft pulley bolt

      : 42.1 N.m (4.3 kg-m, 31 ft-lb)
    3. Tighten crankshaft pulley bolt to the specified angle using Tool.
      CAUTION: Check and confirm the tightening angle using Tool. Avoid judgment by visual inspection without Tool.

      Tool number

      : KV10112100 (BT-8653-A)

      Crankshaft pulley bolt

      : Tighten 90 deg. - 96 deg.
  5. Installation of the remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.
