EGR COOLER : Removal & Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the EGR volume control valve. Refer to EGR VALVE : Removal & Installation .
  2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining .
  3. Remove the front suspension member. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove the EGR inlet tube heat shield.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse bolts.
  5. Remove the EGR inlet tube.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse EGR inlet tube gaskets.
  6. Remove the water hoses from the EGR cooler.
  7. Remove the bolts securing the EGR cooler to the EGR cooler bracket in reverse of the sequence shown and remove EGR cooler.

    CAUTION: Do not reuse EGR cooler gasket.
    NOTE: Remove bolts 1 and 2 from top of vehicle.
  8. Remove the bolts and remove the EGR cooler bracket (if necessary).
