PR25DD engine: Removal

  1. Remove the engine and the transaxle assembly from the vehicle, and separate the transaxle from the engine. Refer to Unit Removal and Installation  (FWD) or Unit Removal and Installation  (AWD).
  2. Remove the drive plate using the following procedure:
    1. Secure crankshaft pulley (1) with a suitable tool (A).

    2. Loosen drive plate bolts and remove drive plate and drive plate reinforcement.
      CAUTION:
      • Do not disassemble drive plate.
      • Do not place drive plate with signal plate facing down.
      • When handling signal plate, take care not to damage or scratch drive plate.
      • Handle signal plate in a manner that prevents them from becoming magnetized.
  3. Remove the pilot converter (1) from the rear end of the crankshaft. Use a suitable tool (A) if necessary.
