PR25DD engine: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Clean surfaces of cylinder head and cylinder block.
  2. Install a new cylinder head gasket.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse cylinder head gasket.
  3. Install the cylinder head.
  4. Tighten cylinder head bolts using the following procedure:
    CAUTION: If cylinder head bolts are reused, check their outer diameters before installation. Refer to Inspection .
    1. Clean threads and seating surfaces of bolts.
    2. Apply new engine oil to the threads and the seating surfaces of bolts.
    3. Tighten all cylinder head bolts to the specified torque in the sequence shown.

      : Engine front

      Cylinder head bolts

      : 39.2 Nm (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft-lb)
    4. Tighten cylinder head bolts to the specified angle in the sequence shown.
      CAUTION: Check and confirm the tightening angle by using Tool (A) or protractor. Do not judge angle by visual inspection.

      : KV10112100 (BT-8653-A)

      Step 1

      : Tighten 75 deg. - 80 deg.

      Step 2

      : Tighten 75 deg. - 80 deg.
  5. Installation of the remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.
