Removal and Installation: Removal

- Drain engine coolant from the radiator. Refer to ENGINE COOLANT : Draining
.CAUTION: Perform this step when the engine is cold.
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT : Removal & Installation .
- Loosen water pump bolts in reverse of the sequence shown and remove the water pump.
CAUTION:
- Handle the water pump vane so that it does not contact any other parts.
- Water pump cannot be disassembled and should be replaced as an assembly.
- Do not reuse water pump gasket.
- After removal, inspect the water pump. Refer to Inspection .
