PR25DD engine: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING: Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high pressure engine coolant escaping from the radiator. Wrap a thick cloth around the cap. Slowly turn it a quarter turn to allow built-up pressure to escape. Carefully remove the cap by turning it all the way.
NOTE: When removing components such as hoses, tubes/lines, etc., cap or plug openings to prevent fluid from spilling.
CAUTION: Perform this step when the engine is cold.
  1. Drain engine coolant. Refer to Draining .
  2. Remove the air cleaner and air duct assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the CVT water hose A from the CVT oil warmer and the water pump housing.
  4. Remove the CVT water hose B from the oil cooler and the thermal valve.
  5. Remove the thermal valve bolt and position aside the thermal valve bracket.
  6. Remove the thermal valve from CVT oil warmer and water outlet.
