CONTROL CABLE : Removal & Installation: Removal

  1. Apply the parking brake.
    CAUTION: Make sure the vehicle cannot move with the parking brake applied.
  2. Remove the center console assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation (without EPB) or Removal and Installation (with EPB).
  3. Shift the selector lever to "P" position.
  4. Remove the air cleaner and air duct assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  5. Remove bolt (A) and position harness aside.

  6. Remove nut (A) and control cable from manual lever (B).

  7. Remove the lock plate.
  8. Remove the control cable from the bracket.
  9. Disconnect the control cable (B) from the CVT shift selector as shown.

  10. Release pawl (A) and separate control cable from CVT shift selector as shown.
  11. Remove the control cable nuts.
  12. Remove the control cable.
