Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK OUTPUT 1 - 5 SYSTEM CIRCUIT FOR OPEN 
    1. Ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect BCM connectors and combination switch connector.
    3. Check continuity between BCM connectors and combination switch connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 2.

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  2. CHECK OUTPUT 1 - 5 SYSTEM CIRCUIT FOR SHORT 

    Check continuity between BCM connectors and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 3.

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  3. CHECK BCM INPUT VOLTAGE 
    1. Connect BCM connectors and combination switch connector.
    2. Ignition switch ON.
    3. Check voltage between BCM connectors and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Replace BCM. Refer to BCM : Removal & Installation .

    NO

    Replace the combination switch. Refer to COMBINATION SWITCH : Removal & Installation .
