REAR PROPELLER SHAFT : Removal & Installation: Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

• Do not reuse electric controlled coupling assembly studs on rear final drive.
• Align matching marks to install propeller shaft assembly to electric controlled coupling assembly and transfer companion flanges.
• Tighten center bearing mounting bracket to specified torque in the sequence shown.
  CAUTION: Do not reuse nuts.

  Center bearing bracket bolts

  : 45.0 N.m (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)

• Install propeller shaft (1) while aligning its matching mark (A) with the matching mark (B) of the final drive (2) on the joint as close as possible.

• Perform inspection after installation. Refer to REAR PROPELLER SHAFT : Inspection .
