Work Procedure

CAUTION: When performing the following operations, always use CONSULT, for performing "G SENSOR CALIBRATION" of "Work support". Refer to Work Procedure .

NOTE: G sensor is integrated in electric parking control module.

Procedure	G SENSOR CALIBRATION
Removing/installing electric parking brake control module	x
Replacing electric parking brake control module	x
Removing/installing rear brake pad (When not pressing piston of rear brake caliper assembly)	--
Removing/installing rear brake pad (When pressing piston of rear brake caliper assembly)	--
Replacing rear brake pad	--
Removing/installing rear brake caliper assembly	--
Replacing rear brake caliper assembly	--
Removing/installing electric parking brake switch	--
Replacing electric parking brake switch	--

CHECK THE VEHICLE STATUS
1. Steer the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position.
2. Stop the vehicle on level surface.
3. Stop the engine.
4. Ignition switch OFF.
Is the vehicle stopped with steering wheel in the straight-ahead on level surface?

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

Steer the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position. Stop the vehicle on level surface.
PERFORM G SENSOR CALIBRATION
CAUTION:
- Never allow passenger or load on the vehicle.
- Never apply vibration to the vehicle body when opening or closing door during calibration.
CONSULT
1. Ignition switch ON.
  CAUTION: Never start the engine.
2. Select "ABS", "Work support", and "DECEL G SEN CALIBRATION" according to this order.
3. Touch "START".
4. After approx. 10 seconds, touch "End".
5. Ignition switch OFF and then turn it ON again.
  CAUTION:
  - Be sure to perform the operation above.
  - Be sure to wait for 10 seconds or more after turning the ignition switch OFF or ON.
GO TO 3.
PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS
CONSULT
1. Pull electric parking brake switch to activate electric parking brake.
2. Push electric parking brake switch to release electric parking brake.
3. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "EHS/PKB".
Is malfunction detected?

YES

Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index .

NO

GO TO 4.
ERASE SELF-DIAGNOSIS MEMORY
CONSULT
1. Ignition switch OFF to ON.
  CAUTION: Be sure to wait for 10 seconds or more after placing the ignition switch OFF or ON.
2. Erase self-diagnosis results memory of "EHS/PKB".
Is the memory erased?

YES

Inspection End.

NO

Check the items indicated by the self-diagnosis.
