4.

Rear door switch RH

Transmits the door open signal to the BCM to operate the autolight system.

5.

Lane camera unit

Lane camera unit is installed to the windshield and detects a vehicle ahead or when an oncoming vehicle appears to operate the high beam assist system

6.

Front door switch RH

Transmits the door open signal to the BCM to operate the autolight system.

7.

Electric parking brake control unit (if equipped with electric parking brake)

Transmits the parking brake switch signal to the Body control module to operate the daytime running light system.

IPDM E/R (Intelligent power distribution module engine room)

Supplies voltage to the load according to the request from BCM (via CAN communication).

17.

Stop lamp switch

Supplies signal to the BCM for stop lamp operation.

18.

BCM (Body control module)

  • Detects each switch condition by the combination switch reading function.
  • Judges that the exterior lamps are turned ON according to the vehicle condition.
  • Requests FET ON to the IPDM E/R via CAN communication:
  • Requests the following indicator lamp and warning (information display/buzzer: ON to the combination meter via CAN communication:
    • High beam indicator lamp
    • High beam assist indicator lamp
    • Position lamp indicator lamp
    • Front fog lamp indicator lamp
    • Light reminder warning (information display/buzzer)
  • Judges the outside brightness from the optical sensor signal.
  • Judges the ON/OFF timing of exterior lamp according to the vehicle condition.
  • Judges the ON/OFF status of the exterior lamp according to the outside brightness and the vehicle condition.
  • Blinks the turn signal lamp and hazard warning lamp according to the each switch condition.
  • Requests the turn signal indicator lamp blink to the combination meter via CAN communication.
  • Requests the turn signal operating sound ON to the combination meter via CAN communication.

Fuse block (J/B)

  • Supplies voltage to the following components:
    • BCM (Body control module).
    • Electric parking brake switch.
    • Electric parking brake control module.
    • Combination meter.

Door mirror LH

Refer to Component Function Check .

21.

Front door switch LH

Transmits the door open signal to the BCM to operate the autolight system.

22.

Rear door switch LH

Transmits the door open signal to the BCM to operate the autolight system.

23.

Rear combination lamp LH

Stop lamp/Tail lamp

Refer to Service Data .

Rear turn signal lamp

Back-up lamp

License plate lamp LH

Refer to Service Data .

25.

Combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch)

Combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch): Transmits the status of the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch) to the BCM.

26.

Combination meter

  • Turns the following indicator lamp and warning (information display/buzzer) ON according to the request from BCM via CAN communication:
    • High beam indicator lamp
    • High beam assist indicator lamp
    • Front fog lamp indicator lamp
    • Position lamp indicator lamp
    • Light reminder warning (information display/buzzer)
  • Blinks the turn signal indicator lamp and outputs the turn signal operating sound with integrated buzzer according to the request from BCM via CAN communication.
  • Inputs headlamp warning signal from LED headlamp control module and turns headlamp warning ON.
  • Combination meter transmits parking brake switch signal to BCM via CAN communication.

27.

Push-button ignition switch

The push-button ignition switch has push switch inside which detects that push-button ignition switch is pressed, and then transmits ON/OFF signal to the BCM. The BCM changes the ignition switch status with the operation of the push-button ignition switch. The BCM maintains the operation of the push-button ignition switch. The BCM maintains the ignition switch status while the push-button ignition switch is not operated.

28.

Electric parking brake switch (if equipped with electric parking brake)

Transmits the parking brake switch signal to the Electric parking brake control module to activate the parking brake system and operate the daytime running light system.

29.

Hazard switch

Inputs the hazard switch ON/OFF signal to BCM.

30.

Optical sensor

Refer to Optical Sensor .

31.

Parking brake switch (if equipped with manual parking brake)

Transmits the parking brake switch signal to the combination meter to operate the daytime running light system.
