Diagnosis Procedure

One or more of the steering switches to control the information display are inoperative.

1. CHECK STEERING SWITCH CIRCUIT 

   Check steering switch circuit. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure (B221A-23) or DTC Diagnosis Procedure (B221B-23).

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES

   GO TO 2.

   NO

   Repair or replace harness or connector.

2. CHECK STEERING SWITCH RESISTANCE 

   Check steering switch. Refer to Component Inspection (B221A-23) or Component Inspection (B221B-23).

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES

   GO TO 3.

   NO

   Replace steering switches. Refer to STEERING SWITCH : Removal & Installation .

3. CHECK COMBINATION SWITCH (SPIRAL CABLE) 

   Check spiral cable for continuity. Refer to Component Inspection (B221A-23) or Component Inspection (B221B-23).

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES

   Replace combination meter. Refer to COMBINATION METER : Removal & Installation .

   NO

   Replace spiral cable. Refer to SPIRAL CABLE : Removal & Installation .
