Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM ".

1. CHECK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT 
   1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
   2. Disconnect combination meter connector and fuel level sensor unit connector.
   3. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and fuel level sensor unit harness connector.

   4. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and ground.

      Combination meter		Ground	Continuity

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: GO TO 2.

      NO: Repair or replace harness or connector.

2. CHECK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT 
   1. Check continuity between fuel level sensor unit harness connector and combination meter harness connector.

      B48	5	M24	24	Yes

   2. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and ground.

      Combination meter		Ground	Continuity
      Connector	Terminal
      M24	24		Yes

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: GO TO 3.

      NO: Repair or replace harness or connector.

3. CHECK INSTALLATION CONDITION 

   Check fuel level sensor unit installation, and check whether the float arm interferes or binds with any of the internal components in the fuel tank.

   Is the inspection result normal? 

   YES: Inspection End.

   NO: Install the fuel level sensor unit properly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
