Removal and Installation of Drive Belt Auto-tensioner: Removal

CAUTION: The complete auto-tensioner must be replaced as a unit, including the pulley.
  1. Remove the RH front wheel and tire. Refer to "ADJUSTMENT " .
  2. Remove the drive belt "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  3. Remove the engine room cover.
  4. Remove the engine coolant reservoir.
  5. Support the engine and remove the engine mounting insulator and bracket (RH). Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  6. Remove the drive belt auto-tensioner.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not loosen the auto-tensioner pulley bolt.
    • Do not turn the auto-tensioner pulley bolt counterclockwise.
    • If the auto-tensioner pulley bolt is turned counterclockwise for any reason, the auto-tensioner and pulley must be replaced as a unit.
