Front Door Sill Area

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Remove the driver's dashboard undercover (see DRIVER'S DASHBOARD LOWER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the driver's kick panel (A) or the passenger's kick panel (B).
- Pull out the front door inner seal (C) from the kick panel hooks (D) and the front door opening flange.
- Pull the kick panel back by hand to detach the clips, and to release the hooks (E) and the tabs (F) from the front door sill trim (G), then remove the panel. On the driver's side, pull the hood opener knob (H) and hold it while removing the panel.

Passenger's side
- Remove the front door sill trim (A).
- Pull out the front door inner seal (B) from the front door sill trim hooks (C) and the front door opening flange.
- Detach the hooks (D) and the tab (E) from the B-pillar lower trim (F), and pull the front door sill trim up by hand to detach the clips.
- Pull out the front door inner seal (A) from the trim hooks (B) and the front door opening flange, then remove the seal.
- Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and hooks into place securely.
