NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information. (See General Troubleshooting Information ).
NOTE:
The DTC will be indicated when the vehicle has a different diameter tire(s) compared to the other tires.
- Check the tires for proper inflation and the correct size (see PRE-ALIGNMENT CHECKS ).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Test-drive the vehicle at 19 mph (30 km/h) or more.NOTE: Drive the vehicle on a straight section of road, not on a lift.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 71-21, 71-22, 71-23, 71-24, 71-25, 71-26, 71-27, 71-28, 71-29, 71-2A, 71-2B or 71-2C indicated?
YES - Replace tires as needed until all their diameters match (see PRE-ALIGNMENT CHECKS ).
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting (see Intermittent Failures ).
