Evaporator Temperature Sensor Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Honda Fit, 2012 Honda Fit, 2011 Honda Fit, 2010 Honda Fit, and 2009 Honda Fit. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the evaporator core and the evaporator temperature sensor (see EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR TEST  ).
  2. Dip the sensor in ice water, and measure the resistance between its terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

  3. Pour warm water on the sensor, and check for a change in resistance.
  4. Compare the resistance readings with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the specifications.
