Damper/Spring Removal and Installation: Installation

- Install the damper mounting rubber (A) and the damper/spring (B) onto the frame.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.
- Install the damper mounting base (A) and the wave washer (B), then loosely install the damper mounting nut (C).
- Loosely install new damper pinch bolts (A) and new self-locking nuts (B).
- Install the wheel speed sensor harness clip (C), the wheel speed sensor stay (D) and the brake hose bracket (E) to the damper.
- Place a floor jack under the lower arm, and raise the suspension to load it with the vehicle's weight.
- Tighten the damper pinch bolts and self-locking nuts while holding the damper pinch bolt to the specified torque.
- Install the stabilizer link to the damper and tighten to the specified torque (see STABILIZER LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Hold the damper shaft (A) with a hex wrench (B), and tighten the damper mounting nut (C) to the specified torque value.
- Install the cap (D) to the top of the damper.
- Driver's side installation: Install these items:
- Wiper motor (see WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Cowl cover (see INSTALLATION )
- Wiper arms (see WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT )
- Passenger's side installation: Install the lid (A).
- Install the wheel speed sensor (A) to the knuckle (B). Ensure wheel speed sensor connector is connected.
- Clean the mating surface of the brake disc and the inside of the wheel, then install the front wheels.
- Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary (see WHEEL ALIGNMENT ).
