Side Airbag Replacement: Removal

  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION ), then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the front seat assembly (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Pull off the seat-back cover/pad as needed (see step 7 on FRONT SEAT-BACK COVER/PAD REPLACEMENT ).
  4. Release the rear hooks (A) from the seat-back frame (B).

  5. Remove the mounting nut (C) and the side airbag (D).
