How to Delete Stored AcuraLink Messages

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Acura MDX, 2012 Acura MDX, 2011 Acura MDX, and 2010 Acura MDX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The AcuraLink Satellite Communication System stores and displays these types of messages on the navigation system display screen:

NOTE:
  • To delete any stored AcuraLink messages, follow these procedures. The first procedure is for your client. It lets them delete certain types of messages. The second procedure is for technicians. It lets you delete all stored messages.
  • The diagnostic menu includes a DATA RESET function. Select this only at TQI and when the vehicle changes ownership. It deletes all AcuraLink messages, log data, and AcuraLink registration. If you select DATA RESET during the 45-day activation period, the AcuraLink Feature Guide repeats the first message. AcuraLink messages related to a repair should be deleted after that repair is done. If you don't delete these messages, they stay in your client's AcuraLink message log.
