Without AcuraLink
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
- This navigation DTC sets when a problem (open or short) is detected in the GA-Net BUS.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ).
- Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
- Go into the Diagnostic Menu, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis Items menu (see SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC MODE ).
- Check the System Links.
Is the XM icon red?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Check the No. 5 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Is the fuse OK?
YES -Go to step 7.
NO -Replace the fuse, and recheck. If the fuse blows again, repair short in the wire between the under-dash fuse/relay box and the XM receiver.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 1 and No. 11.

Is there battery voltage?
YES -Go to step 10.
NO -Go to step 9.
- Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES -Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground (G606) (see CONNECTOR TO FUSE/RELAY BOX INDEX ).
NO -Repair an open in the wire between the No. 5 (10 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) and XM receiver connector A (14P).
- Check for continuity between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there continuity?
YES -Repair a short in the wire between the XM receiver and the audio-navigation unit.
NO -Go to step 13.
- Check for continuity between audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) terminal No. 2 and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 2.

Is there continuity?
YES -Go to step 14.
NO -Repair an open in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the XM receiver.
- Check for continuity between body ground and XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10 individually.

Is there continuity?
YES -There is a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the XM receiver and the audio-navigation unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
NO -Go to step 15.
- Check for continuity between the terminals of XM receiver connector A (14P) according to the table.
From terminal To terminals A3 (BRN) A9 (GRN), A10 (RED) A9 (GRN) A10 (RED) Is there continuity between any of the terminals?
YES -There is a short in the wires between the XM receiver and the audio-navigation unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
NO -Go to step 16.
- Connect audio-navigation unit connector D (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10 with a jumper wire.
- Check for continuity between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10.

Is there continuity?
YES -Replace the XM receiver (see ACURALINK CONTROL UNIT (XM RECEIVER) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NO -There is an open in the wire(s) between the XM receiver and the audio-navigation unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
