Memorizing a Tire Pressure Sensor ID
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Acura MDX, 2012 Acura MDX, 2011 Acura MDX, and 2010 Acura MDX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
All four sensor IDs must be memorized to the TPMS control unit whenever you do any of these actions:
- Replace the TPMS control unit.
- Replace the tire pressure sensor.
- Substitute a known-good wheel with tire pressure sensor.
NOTE:
To ensure the TPMS control unit memorizes the correct sensor ID, the vehicle with the new tire pressure sensor must be at least 10 ft (3 m) away from other vehicles that have sensors.
