Adaptive cruise control (ACC) activation indicator (green) does not go off

- Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function (see
SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
).
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES -Go to step 2.
NO -Substitute a known-good gauge control module, and recheck. If the problem goes away, replace the original gauge control module (see GAUGE CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT ).
- Remove the driver's airbag (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
- Disconnect the 20P connector (A) from the cable reel.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then wait for 10 seconds.
- Watch the ACC activation indicator.
Does the ACC activation indicator go off?
YES -Test the adaptive cruise control (ACC) combination switch (see ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) COMBINATION SWITCH TEST ).
NO -Repair a short to ground in the wire between the adaptive cruise control (ACC) combination switch and the gauge control module.
