Removal and Installation: Removal
- Disconnect both the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes.
- Remove the front pillar finishers (RH/LH). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Coupe) or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Sedan).
- Remove the steering wheel. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the front kicking plates (RH/LH) and dash side lower finishers (RH/LH). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Coupe) or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Sedan).
- Remove the center console. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the combination meter. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the spiral cable. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the combination switch. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove cluster lid C. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the audio unit. refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (BASE AUDIO), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION [BOSE AUDIO W/O NAVI (TYPE A)], REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION [BOSE AUDIO W/O NAVI (TYPE B)] or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (BOSE AUDIO WITH NAVIGATION).
- Remove the front tweeter speakers (RH/LH) and center speaker, if equipped. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Front tweeter - BASE AUDIO), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Front Tweeter - BOSE AUDIO WITHOUT NAVIGATION) or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Front Tweeter - BOSE AUDIO WITH NAVIGATION) and (Center Speaker - BOSE AUDIO WITHOUT NAVIGATION) or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Center Speaker - BOSE AUDIO WITH NAVIGATION).
- Remove the passenger air bag bolt (A).
- Remove the remaining instrument panel screws (A).
- Disconnect the audio harness connector located near the RH windshield pillar.
- Lift the instrument panel high enough in order to disconnect all the necessary harness connectors, then remove the instrument panel.
