Oil Pressure Check
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING:
- Be careful not to burn yourself, as engine oil may be hot.
- For M/T models, put the shift selector in the Neutral "N" position and apply the parking brake securely.
- For CVT models, put the shift selector in the Park "P" position.
- Check engine oil level.
- Remove engine under cover. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Disconnect harness connector at oil pressure sensor, and remove oil pressure sensor using a suitable tool.CAUTION: Do not drop or shock oil pressure sensor.
- Install oil pressure gauge and hose.

- Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
- Check oil pressure with engine running under no-load. Refer to
"OIL PRESSURE ".NOTE: When engine oil temperature is low, engine oil pressure becomes high.
If difference is extreme, check oil passage and oil pump for oil leaks.
- After the inspections, install oil pressure sensor as follows:
- Remove old liquid gasket adhering to oil pressure sensor and engine.
- Apply liquid gasket and tighten oil pressure sensor to specification.
Use Genuine RTV Silicone Sealant or equivalent. Refer to "RECOMMENDED CHEMICAL PRODUCT AND SEALANT ".
Oil pressure sensor : 14.7 N.m (1.5 kg-m, 11 ft-lb)
- Check engine oil level.
- After warming up engine, make sure there are no leaks of engine oil with running engine.
