Removal and Installation of Rear Oil Seal: Removal
- Remove the transaxle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (RS6F51A M/T), or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (RE4F04B A/T).
- Remove the flywheel (M/T models) or drive plate (A/T models). Hold the crankshaft with a stopper plate and remove the mounting bolts using Tool.
- Tool numbers
- Flywheel bolt tool (TP50 Torx ° plus bit): J-45737
- Drive plate bolt tool (E20 Torx ° socket): J45816
CAUTION:- Be careful not to damage the flywheel contact surface for the clutch disc.
NOTE:- The flywheel two-block construction allows movement in response to transmission side pressure, or when twisted in its rotational direction, therefore, some amount of noise is normal.
- Remove rear oil seal using suitable tool.CAUTION: Be careful not to damage crankshaft and/or cylinder block.
