Inspection/Vehicle Speed Sensor

CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR OUTPUT
1. Remove vehicle speed sensor from transmission.
2. Check voltage between the combination meter terminal and ground while quickly turning speed sensor pinion.

OK or NG
1. OK : Vehicle speed sensor is OK.
2. NG : GO TO 2.

CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR
Check resistance between vehicle speed sensor connector F43 terminals 1 and 2 (with QG18DE), or connector F36 terminals + and - (with QR25DE).
1. Resistance : Approx. 250 Ω
OK or NG
1. OK : Check the following.
  - Harness between combination meter and vehicle speed sensor.
  - Vehicle speed sensor ground circuit.
2. NG : Replace vehicle speed sensor.
