Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK TELESCOPIC MOTOR POWER SUPPLY
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect tilt motor.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Perform "Active test" ("TELESCO MOTOR") with CONSULT-III
- Check voltage between telescopic motor harness connector and ground.

YES: Replace telescopic motor. (Built in steering column assembly). Refer to "EXPLODED VIEW ".
NO: GO TO 2
- 2CHECK TELESCOPIC MOTOR CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect automatic drive positioner control unit.
- Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and telescopic motor harness connector.Fig 2: Checking Continuity Between Automatic Drive Positioner Control Unit Connector And Telescopic Motor Connector

Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
NO: Repair or replace harness.
