Door Mirror Defogger Power Supply Circuit Inspection (Without Auto Dimming Outside Mirrors)

CHECK FUSE

Check if the following fuse in the fuse block (J/B) is blown.

FUSE BLOCK (J/B) CONNECTOR SPECIFICATION

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 2.

NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse. Refer to "HOW TO PERFORM EFFICIENT DIAGNOSIS FOR AN ELECTRICAL INCIDENT ".

CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 1

Turn ignition switch ON.

Check voltage between fuse block (J/B) connector and ground.

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 3.

NG: Repair or replace harness.

CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY 2

Check voltage between fuse block (J/B) connector and ground.

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 4.

NG: Replace fuse block (J/B).

CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect fuse block (J/B) and door mirror LH or RH.
3. Check continuity between fuse block (J/B) connector M3 terminal 5N and door mirror connector D4 (LH) or D107 (RH) terminal 2.
  5N - 2: Continuity should exist.

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 5.

NG: Repair or replace harness.
CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between each door mirror connector D4 (LH) or D107 (RH) terminal 1 and ground.

1 - Ground: Continuity should exist.

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 6.

NG: Repair or replace harness.
CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER
Check continuity between each door mirror LH or RH terminals 1 and 2.

1 - 2: Continuity should exist.

OK or NG

OK: Check the condition of the harness and the connector.

NG: Replace malfunctioning door mirror LH or RH. Refer to "DOOR MIRROR ".
