Inspection Procedure

- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the terminals and connectors of the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
OK or NG
OK: GO TO 2.
NG: Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Disconnect the connector of ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit).
- Check the resistance between the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector terminals.
- Models with TCS MODELS WITH TCS - RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

- Models with TCS
OK or NG
OK: GO TO 3.
NG: Repair the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) branch line.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to "SCHEMATIC " (Models with TCS), "SCHEMATIC " (Models with VDC).
OK or NG
OK:
- Present error: Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to "ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (ASSEMBLY) " (Models with TCS), "ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (ASSEMBLY) " (Models with VDC).
- Past error: Error was detected in the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) branch line.
NG: Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
