Inspection Flow

CONFIRM AUTO MODE OPERATION
1. Press the AUTO switch.
2. Display should indicate AUTO. Confirm that the compressor clutch engages (sound or visual inspection). (Discharge air and blower speed will depend on ambient, in-vehicle and set temperatures.)
OK or NG

OK: GO TO 2.

NG: GO TO 3.
PERFORM COMPLETE OPERATIONAL CHECK
Perform a complete operational check and check for any symptoms. Refer to "OPERATIONAL CHECK ".

Can a symptom be duplicated?

YES: Refer to "SYMPTOM TABLE ".

NO: System OK.
CHECK FOR SERVICE BULLETINS
Check for any service bulletins.

Have any service bulletins been issued?

YES: Refer to appropriate service bulletin.

No: GO TO 4.
PERFORM FRONT AIR CONTROL SELF-DIAGNOSIS
Perform front air control self-diagnosis. Refer to "FRONT AIR CONTROL SELF - DIAGNOSIS ".

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 5.

NG: Perform power and ground circuit for front air control. Refer to "POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT FOR FRONT AIR CONTROL AND UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP ".
CHECK UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP. POWER AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check unified meter and A/C amp. main power supply and ground circuit. Refer to "POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT FOR FRONT AIR CONTROL AND UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP ".

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 6.

NG: Repair as necessary.
CHECK AMBIENT SENSOR CIRCUIT (CAUSE CANNOT BE CONFIRMED BY SELF-DIAGNOSIS)
Check ambient sensor circuit. Refer to "AMBIENT SENSOR CIRCUIT ".

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 7.

NG: Repair or replace as necessary.
CHECK IN-VEHICLE SENSOR CIRCUIT
Check in-vehicle sensor circuit. Refer to "IN-VEHICLE SENSOR CIRCUIT ".

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 8.

NG: Repair or replace as necessary.
CHECK SUNLOAD SENSOR CIRCUIT
Check sunload sensor circuit. Refer to "SUNLOAD SENSOR CIRCUIT ".

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 9.

NG: Repair or replace as necessary.
CHECK INTAKE SENSOR CIRCUIT
Check intake sensor circuit. Refer to "INTAKE SENSOR CIRCUIT ".

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 10.

NG: Repair or replace as necessary.
CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTORS PBR CIRCUIT
Check air mix door motors PBR circuit. Refer to "AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR CIRCUIT ".

OK or NG

OK: If the symptom still exists, perform a complete operational check. Refer to "OPERATIONAL CHECK " and check for other symptoms. Refer to "SYMPTOM TABLE ". If no other symptom exists replace unified meter and A/C amp. Refer to "UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP ".

NG: Repair or replace as necessary.
