Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Discharge the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to "HFC-134A (R-134A) SERVICE PROCEDURE "
  2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to "CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT ".
  3. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core pipes.
  4. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the evaporator.
  5. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to "INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY ".
  6. Remove the blower unit. Refer to "BLOWER UNIT ".
  7. Disconnect the mode door motor and the air mix door motor connectors.
  8. Remove the heater and cooling unit.
