Removal & Installation

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove headliner. See HEADLINER .
Remove and discard 3 rearmost bolts from appropriate curtain air bag module. Disconnect curtain air bag module connector. Remove and discard remaining curtain air bag module bolts. See Fig 1 . Remove curtain air bag module.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten NEW curtain air bag module bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
