Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Disconnect crash zone sensor connector. Remove and discard nuts securing crash zone sensor to bracket. Remove crash zone sensor. See Fig 1 .
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten NEW crash zone sensor nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Activate air bag system.
